I was browsing some stuffs at Instagram actually looking for a new BB/CC cushion compact since I have used up my old one when I saw that The Face Shop Philippines had an ongoing December sale with some of their best selling products.
I got curious as to what products are on sale and totally fainted when I saw that their newest BB cushion compact is on sale!

So being me, a girl who needs her holy grail cushion compact , I made a run to their shop since it's almost the end of their sale period.
When I got to one of their branch intending to buy CC Intense Cover Cushion, the one advertised by Kim Soo Hyun, I was devastated when the staff said that they don't recommend the CC Intense Cover Cushion and CC Ultra Moist Cushion for oily skin-types like mine.
She told me that since I have an oily skin-type, the Oil Control Water Cushion Compact would suit me instead.
After hearing all her explanations about the difference between the 3 cushions, I decided to buy the one she recommended.

You can see in the ingredient list like silicone, thickeners and emulsifiers that this is not just a good makeup base but also moisturizes your skin despite having oil control properties.

The packaging is just like any other cushion compact in which the product is encased in a thick and lightweight plastic casing with a mirror and puff inside.

The Face Shop Oil Control Water Cushion Compact comes into two shades: V201 Apricot Beige and V203 Natural Beige. I forgot to swatched it while in the store but basically V201 is for fair-skin and V203 is suitable for Pinay skin. I got mine in shade V201 because of the recommendation of FS Staff.

The product feels lightweight and watery. Upon application, it gives a smooth and blendable finish. Tip: apply in a dabbing motion rather than swiping motion. The coverage is light to medium and gives you a dewy to matte finish.

As you can see I still have some pimple marks left after a major breakout fest. I did my usual skin care day routine minus my sunblock so that it won't affect the product application like showing white cast, etc.

Right after application, it seems too light for me. But you can see that all my blemishes and pigmentation were covered. It dries up right after application and give you a semi-matte finish.

Wow! Just wow! It sets in my skin perfectly, just like a second-skin. Its like I don't even have a foundation on. It gives my skin enough hydration and gives you that glowy 'Koreana' look.

Now with my full-makeup on. This cushion is great for everyday make-up without making your face look cakey at all.
In terms of longevity of the product a.k.a oil control, I only ever re-touched my makeup after 5 hours and only once. Just make sure to blot your face first for hygiene purposes. You don't want to have sebum filled puff right?
Pros:
Affordable.Gives you a dewy to matte finish.
Feels lightweight and has good oil-control properties.
Good product for the summer.
Cons:
Since this product has oil control properties, I don't think I would recommend this one for dry skin types for it might look flaky of dry skin.
Repurchase?
Definitely yes, I like that this product gives me a lot of satisfaction for an affordable price.
